One of the most exciting prospects in the WNBL, Tupaea became the second youngest debutant in WNBL history at age 15 and 133 days when she suited up for the Flames. The teenager did not look out of place on the WNBL floor, racking up ten games in her first season.
The Penrith junior got her first taste of international action during the off-season as part of the Australian Gems team that claimed bronze at the 2013 FIBA Under 19 World Championships.
With her first major international tournament under her belt, the future looks bright for Tupaea who has already shown an ability to play inside and outside with no fear of launching the three ball.
Career Highlights: FIBA U16 Oceania Championship 2013, FIBA U19 World Championships: 2013 (Bronze), FIBA U18 Oceania Championship 2014.
