Everything is in place for the Quarter-Finals today as we get down to the business end of the tournament.
Once again setting the pace in the boys competition, defending Champions Vic Metro have advanced through the pool stage without a loss.
They now take on SA Country who finished fourth in Pool B after a three-way tie against WA Metro and Vic Country who placed second and third respectively.
Their games against each other ultimately decided their seeding and WA Metro will now battle SA Metro who have impressed with a 4-2 record while Vic Country, last year’s silver medalists, face a tough ask against Qld South who are 5-1.
The final boys Quarter-Final sees NSW Metro, who finished on top of Pool B, battle ACT, who will compete in their first final at the Under-16’s since 2014 after splitting their pool games.
For the girls, Vic Metro have advanced to the final eight on top of Pool A after making a statement against Qld South yesterday.
Their clash was between two undefeated teams but Vic Metro came out on top by 15 points to set up a Quarter-Final against Tasmania while Qld South will now meet Vic Country.
In Pool B, SA Metro are well in the hunt to upset Vic Metro’s run at a fourth straight title as they won all five of their pool games by an average margin of 18 points and now meet NSW Country.
NSW Metro (4-1) meet WA Metro (4-2) to round out the girls Quarter-Finals in what should be another thriller on Day 6.
