John has been practicing as a solicitor for over 25 years and predominantly advises in relation to risk and risk management on construction and  infrastructure projects.

He has a particular interest in project delivery and probity and governance John is a partner at Wilson/Ryan/ Grose Lawyers. He is a sessional member of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and a registered adjudicator under the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act John has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws John was elected to the Board of Basketball Australia in May 2020.

He is the current Chair of the Board, a position held since May 2021.
