Growing up playing for the North Adelaide Rockets in South Australia, Mansfield headed to Midland College in Texas before transferring to Iowa State University to play for the Iowa State Cyclones in the Big 12 Conference where she was starting point guard.

After a four-year career in college, Mansfield nominated for the WNBA draft and signed on with her home team the Adelaide Lightning in the WNBL.

She burst on to the scene with SEQ Stars in 2015, playing a larger role than originally anticipated due to the untimely injury of Erin Phillips.

She made the most of the opportunity, finishing in the top ten for scoring with 15.5 points per game and second for assists with 5.4 to be placed eighth in the overall MVP voting.

Mansfield has also formed a stellar career in SEABL with the Launceston Tornadoes, reaching the All-SEABL team while restoring the club to playoff success.

Named to the Rio Olympic squad in 2016, an ankle injury hurt the guard's chances from truly contending for a spot but she realised her dream of playing for the Opals in 2017 when they won the silver medal at the FIBA Women's Asia Cup and she went on to represent the nation at the 2018 FIBA World Cup.
