Born and raised in Horsham, Victoria, Creek represented Victoria Country at the Under-16 and Under-18 National Championships before training with the Australian under-19 squad and earning an AIS scholarship in 2009 where he averaged 14.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game in SEABL.

In addition to playing for the AIS in 2010, Creek also guided Victoria Country to a gold medal at the Under-20 National Championships and dominated for the Australian Emus at the Albert Schweitzer Tournament where he was named the MVP as the Emus won gold/

In 2011, Creek helped Victoria Country win back-to-back gold medals at the Under-20 National Championships and subsequently won the Bob Staunton Award after averaging 19 points, 7.6 rebounds and three assists per game.

Creek then made his NBL debut for the Adelaide 36ers, a team he has since represented every year which included a Grand Final appearance in 2013-14.

During the NBL off-seasons, he has competed in SEABL and the SA Premier League where he was awarded the Grand Final MVP, league MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and All-Star Five honours in 2015-16.

In 2016, he was named captain of the 36ers and was invited to participate in a free agent mini-camp run by the Utah Jazz before joining the Jazz's Summer League team.

Creek then represented the Boomers at the FIBA 2017 Asia Cup and led them to the gold medal with a performance that put him on the international map and helped him secure a spot in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers beginning in November, 2017.
