Basketball Australia is pleased to announce the women’s team for the 3rd INAS-FID Global Games. The Australian Pearls, currently ranked no. 1 in the world and current World Champions will compete in their 3rd Global Games in Italy in September.

Head Coach of the Australian Pearls, Larry Davidson, has selected an experienced team with nine of the ten players having previous International experience.  “The team  has a depth and capability as strong as we have ever taken overseas. We plan to make it very hard for any other country to challenge our standing,” said Larry Davidson.

Twelve year veteran, Nicole Skerman, from Queensland will be supported by experienced Pearls Kim Perry, Nicole Harris and Lisa Mackie from Sydney, Eliza and Bernadette Mills from Orange, and Kaitlyn Papworth, Danni Burden and Molly Urquhart-Moran from Melbourne.

Making her debut internationally will be Kasey Webb from Melbourne.

“I am excited by the excellent balance we have between youth, fitness and enthusiasm of the younger players and the experience, control and steadiness of our older team members,” commented head Coach Larry Davidson.
