A 1.0 point guard, Sabljak began playing wheelchair basketball for the Brisbane-based Queensland Comets in the WNWBL. The Comets won the league championship in 2014, a year in which she was named the league Most Valuable Player 1-pointer while she also went on to play in the NWBL. They also won again in 2018.
In 2011, Sabljak was part of the Australian Devils at the 2011 Under-25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship, winning silver and four years later, she captained the Devils to another silver medal in Beijing.
She made her senior international debut with the Gliders at the Osaka Cup in 2013 and continued to star with the team at several Osaka Cup's in the future before being named to the 2018 World Championship side in Hamburg.
Sabljak is currently part of the Gliders Leadership group and is one of the acting captains come game time.
She was recently elected to the inaugural ‘players commission’ for the IWBF, so this is a great appointment to the first time athlete panel for our sport.
Sabljak studied education at Griffith University in Queensland, qualifying as a teacher.
