Coming off the bench for BC Zalgiris, Brock Motum is headed to the Lithuanian Basketball League finals against Neptunas in a seven-game series beginning Thursday.

Following a 36-game regular season in which Zalgiris lost just four games, they advanced to the playoffs on top of the ladder, four games clear of their closest rival.

They have since gone undefeated through the post-season, sweeping Pieno Zvaigzdes and Juventus in the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals respectively.

Motum was very impressive in Zalgiris’ first clash with Pieno Zvaigzdes, collecting 13 points on 6-8 shooting with five rebounds, an assist and a steal.

He backed up that performance with five points and two assists in Game 2 before knocking down a three-pointer as Zalgiris swept the Quarter-Finals.

Juventus were dismissed just as clinically a fortnight ago as Motum’s side won by an average of 16 points in three games.

The Australian provided a handy option off the bench once again, recording eight points and three rebounds per contest.

In the Finals, Motum will face compatriot Angus Brandt who joined Neptunas late in the season but has been adding four points in 13 minutes a game since arriving in March.

Through two regular season meetings, Zalgiris beat Neptunas by an average of 21 points which will give them confidence heading into this series.
