Emus squad named to attend training camp

With only six weeks remaining until the 2010 FIBA Oceania U18 Championships, an 18-strong squad has been selected to attend the Australian U19 Men’s training camp at the AIS next week.

The camp will run from August 12-15 in preparation for the Championships in New Zealand from September 17-19.

The Oceania event serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship.

The squad includes three players just returned from representing Australia at the inaugural FIBA U17 World Championships in Hamburg, Germany; guard Mitchell Norton, forward Owen Odigie and centre Andrija Dumovic.

Hugh Greenwood rejoins the squad after suiting up for the Boomers in their Boomers World Challenge against Argentina in July.
