The Seven Consulting Opals official uniforms will go on sale at Rebel stores nationally this week. Since the unveiling by the team the demand for the Indigenous uniform has been unprecedented. This will be the first time that the team has worn a specially designed Indigenous uniform in honour of playing on home soil.

Rebel will stock Jackson (25) and Magbegor (13) Macron singlets in the green (home) Indigenous design and blank singlets will also be available for purchase for personalised numbering. Created by Torres Strait Islander artist Danny O’Shane the Indigenous uniforms are a limited edition and with the high demand are expected to sell quickly.

For those coming to the games, the singlets together with the team hoodies will be available at the official merchandise outlet at Sydney Super Dome (QUDOS Bank Arena) located on the concourse level.

The Lauren Jackson No 25 is expected to be a hot seller and she is excited for fans to embrace her new number.

“I loved wearing 15 during my career but felt for the comeback it was time for a new number almost Lauren version 2.0 if you like, I feel really comfortable in 25 and look forward to creating some great memories wearing it.”

Matt Scriven CEO of Basketball Australia is delighted with the Macron/Rebel partnership which will ensure the uniform is available to the fans.

“The partnership with our Uniform supplier Macron and Australia’s largest sporting retailer Rebel will ensure that the fans have access to all the official merchandise that they need. Hosting the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup showcases our sport on home soil to a whole new audience and having the ability to purchase our uniforms wherever they live in Australia is so special for the fans.”
