Kate Gaze talks to BATV about finding her way to the Frankston Blues through college and WNBL stints as well as the hype surrounding the “Gaze” name.
Following an accomplished five year career with Saint Mary’s Gaels in the USA, Gaze returned to Australia to play for the Townsville Fire in the 2014/15 WNBL season.
Success continued to follow her as the Fire won the Championship and she has now turned her focus to carrying the Frankston Blues to the SEABL playoffs.
“Before WNBL finished, deciding to try and play with Frankston was a goal of mine,” Gaze said.
“My family are all here. It’s been pretty special to have them in the crowd every game and to go watch my little cousins play as well. For anyone who knows me, they know how tight my family is and how much support they each other so it has been awesome to come back and be around them all the time.”
