Basketball Australia (BA) in conjunction with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) has set up a foundation to support Basketball in Australia.

The Basketball Australia Foundation has been created to support Basketball projects that will enhance the success of the sport. Basketball Australia has set up four projects; two that support elite teams (Boomers and Opals, and Gliders and Rollers), one for junior development, as well as the Centre of Excellence.

The elite support project seeks to provide more services, access, exposure, and tours for elite players. These efforts will continue to cultivate and develop the future of Basketball in Australia. The projects will support our elite teams that compete in the Olympics and Paralympics – the Boomers, Opals, Rollers and Gliders.

The Centre of Excellence project will support the Centre to enable the next generation of elite players to enjoy more support services and international competition.

The junior development project will be used to support coaches, talent identification programs, and junior athletes to support them to achieve their basketball dreams.
