The Australian Gliders are currently competing in an International Friendly series against Japan at the AIS, in preparation for their World Championship in November.
Game one kicked off yesterday with the Gliders getting the win 55-49.
Amber Merritt continued her good form, top scoring with 27 points. Georgia Munro-Cook also made a huge impact with 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Head Coach, Craig Campbell was happy with the team’s performance.
“The opportunity to play international games ahead of this year’s World Championships is vital for the continued growth of our program, so we’re thankful for Japan joining us for this series at the AIS.
“It was great to get the win tonight, but even better to have players willing to take the game on and play in more diverse roles and line-ups to what we’ve seen in the past,” said Campbell.
