In their Championship defence, Vic Metro have moved ahead on the ladder in the girls and boys competition and look to be one of the teams to beat again in 2017.

In Pool A for the boys, Vic Metro own a 3-0 record but Qld South are hot on their heels with a 2-0 record while WA Metro sit at 2-1.

While they sit in the top three spots, fourth place is being fought out between NSW Metro (1-1), Tasmania (1-2), SA Country (0-2) and NT (0-3) with an important contest today between SA Country and Tasmania going a long way to determining those placings.

In Pool B, Qld North and NZ are unbeaten at 2-0 while only ACT have not got on the winners list yet.

They take on fifth placed Vic Country today in a game both teams will be desperate to win.

For the girls, Vic Metro are the only unbeaten team in Pool A at 2-0 but NSW Country have also claimed two wins with a loss in between.

SA Country will meet Tasmania today in a battle for at least third place and potentially a top-two spot.

In Pool B, Vic Country, NSW Metro and SA Metro have all gained some separation without a loss while Qld North sit fourth at 1-2.

NZ, WA Country and NT are running out of time if they are going to take any of their Quarter-Finals spots with their games today critical to their chances.
