Donning retro uniforms on Saturday night, the Kilsyth Cobras men and womens teams will hit the court against Bendigo to celebrate the history of the club.
Initiated by Basketball Operations manager at Kilsyth, Zach Moult, the night will incorporate retro music, a catwalk at half-time for the best dressed individuals, a t-shirt giveaway and free entry for any kids under the age of 12 dressed in retro gear.
“Our men will be playing in a replica of the early 90’s uniform,” Moult said. “The women will be wearing a modified replica of their bodysuits from the late 90’s through to the late 2000’s.”
The players are looking for the home crowd to get into the spirit as well.
“We’re hoping to see some bright, out-there colours, some side-ponies, leg-warmers and tight leggings,” said forwards Rosie Moult and Sarah Parsons.
“Hopefully we get a lot of energy off the crowd and make it a good contest,” added guard Steph Cumming.
