It has been a winning start for the tour of Europe for the Airbnb Australian Boomers, with coastal city of Klaipeda on the Lithuanian west coast providing the team with the perfect environment to enjoy their downtime.
The Airbnb Boomers are playing three games in the city on the shores of the Baltic Sea, concluding in the early hours of Tuesday morning (AEST) against Lithuania – the team they will face in Group D of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
As part of the “Inside the Huddle” series exclusive to the Basketball Australia YouTube Channel, Airbnb Boomers star Joe Ingles speaks at length about his love for playing for his country, the challenges the team faces during their time in Lithuania and the excitement around the team ahead of their arrival in Spain.
Fans can see the Airbnb Boomers face Lithuania, with the game streaming LIVE on SportoTV on Tuesday 12 August at 2:00am AEST.
The Airbnb Boomers open their 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Gran Canaria against Slovenia in the early hours of Sunday morning 31 August AEST.
Based in the Canary Island city of Gran Canaria, the Boomers will also face Angola, Korea, Lithuania and Mexico, playing five games in six days prior to the knockout phase.
