Australian Hall of Fame Legend Al Ramsay will be remembered as one of the all-time greatest and longest-tenured executives in Australian sport. Holding numerous positions including member of the FIBA Central Board for 25 years and Founder, Secretary General and President of the Oceanic Basketball Confederation spanning 35 years. Australian basketball’s success on the world stage can be credited to the work of Al Ramsay and his lifelong commitment to the growth of the Oceanic Basketball Confederation (FIBA Oceania). In 2004 Al was inducted into the Basketball Australia Hall of Fame, in 2006 he was elevated to Legend.
