Former Australian Boomers captain passes away aged 86. Inga was a true gentleman of the game and held in the highest regard as an outstanding ambassador of basketball. He was the captain of the Australian Boomers team at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. To this day he still holds the record as the youngest captain of an Australian Olympic basketball team at only 21 years of age. He was three-time South Australia Basketballer of the Year- 1955, 1956 and 1959. Inga was inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007. Basketball Australia extends its condolences to Inga’s family.
