Basketball Australia wishes to congratulate the following athletes on their selection into the 2022 Australian Pearls Squad. ACT - Aeysha Williams, Louwanna Sheridan, Jasmin Funnell, Madilyn Janssen, NSW - Brittany Anderson, Taylor Anderson, Mackenzie Wills SA – Jayne Brownlee VIC - Kaitlyn Papworth, Kate Leckenby, Evie Patterson, Jessica McCulloch, Katlin Zonneveld, Montana Haag-Witherden, Rachael Potter, Jordi-Ella Groenenwegen, Mia Wilson WA – Rhonda Williams Having recently attended the Ivor Burge Championships in Mackay, Coach Larry Davidson was delighted with the number of emerging athletes who could comfortably fit into the Pearls program and work well with the established, more experienced players. “It’s great to see all the states with strong programs, and with new talent, and so many players back on the court, realising their basketball goals” said Coach Davidson. The Australian Pearls are working towards the VIRTUS 2022 Asia Oceania Games which will be held in Brisbane in November. The Australian Pearls squad members will meet in Canberra at the Basketball Centre of Excellence in June for their first training camp since 2019.
