The excitement is mounting as Australia's budding basketball talents prepare to proudly represent their states at the 2023 Foot Locker Under-16 National Championships next month.
With less than a month remaining until tip-off, the official fixture has been unveiled, and family and friends can now secure their tickets for the event, which is set to take place in Warwick, Western Australia from 1-9 July.
The Championship’s fixture will hold pool games from Saturday night to Thursday, with all the finals action kicking off on Friday, followed by medal matches to bring the nine-day event to a close on 9 July.
Saturday night in Western Australia will set the stage for an action-packed start to the event with a double-header on the schedule. In the girl's division, Western Australia Metro will face off against Australian Capital Territory, meanwhile, the Western Australia Metro boys will lock horns with Victoria Country.
The state rivalries will be set to rise as each team will be gearing up in their quest for national glory – The New South Wales Metro girls will be aiming to defend its 2022 triumphs, while Victoria Metro will be aiming to take home the boy’s gold once again.
The event will serve as the third National Championships of the year. Geelong played host to the Under-20s and Ivor Burge Championships earlier in February, while Brisbane took centre stage for the Under-18s and Kevin Coombs Cup in April.
