Some of the Country’s best young basketball talent is on show and looking for spots in the playoffs as the action continues today at Casey Stadium in Victoria in the Under-14 Club Championships, taking place from 24-29 September.
The Club Championships form a vital pathway from participation through to elite competition for the nation’s junior athletes and also illustrates the strength of our Country programs.
Under the current format for the Club Championships, the 24 boys’ and 24 girls’ teams are divided into six pools of four teams and play a round-robin competition. The top two teams in each pool over the opening two days, then play for the Championship Division and the teams placed third and fourth in each pool compete for the Shield Division.
The finals action will get underway with Quarter Finals on Wednesday afternoon. Semi Finals and classification matches are on Thursday.
For the second straight year, Kommunity TV will live stream all the action at Casey Basketball Stadium.
The coverage is part of a groundbreaking two-year partnership between KommunityTV and Basketball Australia, which includes coverage of all Championship events.
