Boomerangs announce squad for 2024

The Australian Boomerangs have unveiled a 19-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Virtus World Championships.

The squad features a mix of experienced players and fresh faces that impressed at the Ivor Burge Championships which were held earlier this year in Ballarat. 

“This marks an exhilarating phase for the Boomerangs Program, following our Gold Medal win at the 2023 Global Games in Vichy, France. Boomerangs are setting the standard on the international stage, striving for continued success” Said Boomerangs Assistant Coach, Ryan Holloway. 

The squad has an experienced core with 10 players that competed in France at the 2023 Virtus Global Games returning to the team. 

This includes, James Doyle, Zachary Georg-Dent, Keenan Georg-Dent, Brad Kinross, Brayden Cowell, Jack Inella, Matt Farrar, Frazer Dawber, Jack De La Motte and Jack Gilbertson. 

Jack Inella rejoins the team after winning the MVP at the Ivor Burge Championships, whilst a variety of debutants have been named including Blake Ager, Jackson Loy, Joshua Whelan, Wayne Kinross, Deegan Campbell, Adam Horn, Ryan Leithlean, Dylan Cheyne and Callum Bull. 

The next major event for the Boomerangs players will be Ivon Burge Championships in late 2024 then on to the Virtus World Championships in 2025.  

The Boomerangs Squad consists of the following players. There are many new faces and great to see that all states are represented.
