Australia's only loss in the 3x3 Women's Series in Chengdu came against China in the group stage and a determined Gangurrus outfit led by Marena Whittle (9 PTS, 2 REB) made sure the ultimate game was one of redemption.
Whittle was named MVP for another impressive tournament joined alongside the Olympic qualifying cast, Anneli Maley, Ally Wilson and Lauren Mansfield.
Maley positioned well in the final against the taller stocks of Team China to tally eight rebounds, Wilson dropped five and Mansfield had two points, two rebounds.
The Gangurrus will face China again from 2 -5 July at John Cain Arena as the next stage of their Paris 2024 Olympics preparations.
