Stars and young guns shine in short film 'All Dreams Start Somewhere'

Basketball Australia and Ford Dealers today launched ‘All Dreams Start Somewhere’ a documentary film that will inspire the next generation of basketballers.

Ford Dealers partnered with award winning Taxi Film Productions to document the story of basketball from grassroots to the world stage told by some of our greatest athletes.

The documentary comes off the back of the Australian Opals success at the Paris Olympics winning their first medal since London 2012 taking home the bronze medal after defeating Belgium in a cliff hanger.

The documentary features Australian basketball talent including five-time Olympians Patty Mills and Lauren Jackson.  First time Olympians Anneli Maley, Josh Giddey and Jack McVeigh, bronze medalist Chris Goulding and Olympian Sara Blicavs. Australian Opals and 3x3 stars Bec Cole, Alice Kunek and rising stars of the sport Rocco Zikarsky, Monique Bobongie, Kye Savage and Alex Toohey.

Five-time Olympian and the first Australian to win a medal at each games that she competed in Lauren Jackson summed up her reason to play in the documentary.

“I just had the innate belief that I was going to play basketball, and I dared to dream,” said Jackson.
