The countdown is on for the Australian Rollers who will chase success at the Paralympics, striving to add a fifth medal to their collection.
Unlike last month’s Olympics where 12 teams competed across the women’s and men’s basketball competition, the Paralympics structure sees eight nations, Australia, USA, Great Britian, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, France and Canada, drawn across two pools.
The Rollers are seeded in Group B alongside the Netherlands, Spain and USA.
Australia opens its campaign with a pair of games on Friday August 30 at Bercy Arena, Paris.
First up, the Rollers play the Netherlands at 5.30am (AEST) then return to the court that night to face Spain (8.45pm, AEST).
A highly-anticipated match-up with the USA awaits on Sunday September 1, at 6.30pm AEST.
Quarter Final day is on Wednesday September 4 with the two Semi-Finals set for Friday September 6.
The tournament reaches its crescendo on Sunday September 8 with gold and bronze medal matches.
Catch the Rollers in action on 9Now and by following their campaign via Basketball Australia socials.
