Some of the best young talent in Australia will descend onto Perth for HoopsFest in two weeks, when the Foot Locker U18 Australian Club Championships tip-off.
Beginning on Tuesday, September 17, the Championships will see 17 boys teams and 15 girls teams battle it out for the ultimate crown, while also looking to impress NBL and WNBL team scouts.
The U18 Australian Club Championships will run from September 17 until Sunday September 22, with the two gold medal games and two bronze medal games to be played on the Sunday.
All games will be held at HBF Arena, with all the action to be streamed live via Kommunity TV.

There are four pools in the boys competition with pool A consisting of the Central Districts Lions (SA), Binar Indigenous Team (WA), Frankston Blues (VIC) and the Perry Lakes Hawks (WA), pool B consisting of the Wildcats Academy (WA), West Adelaide Bearcats (SA), Dandenong Rangers (VIC) and East Perth Eagles (WA), pool C consisting of the Joondalup Wolves (WA), Canberra (ACT), Diamond Valley Eagles (VIC) and Warwick Senators (WA), and pool D consistent of the Willetton Tigers (WA), Tasmania Devils (TAS), Kalamunda Eastern Suns (WA), Knox Raiders (VIC) and Cockburn Cougars (WA).
There are three pools in the girls competition with pool A consisting of the Joondalup Wolves (WA), Tasmania Tigers (TAS), Melbourne Tigers (VIC), Norths Bears (NSW) and Binar Indigenous Team (WA), pool B consisting of the Rockingham Flames (WA), Canberra (ACT), Sandringham Sabres (VIC), Hills Hornets (NSW) and Perry Lakes Hawks (WA), and pool C consisting of the Warwick Senators (WA), West Adelaide Bearcats (SA), Lakeside Lightning (WA), Keilor Thunder (VIC) and Cockburn Cougars (WA).
Last month, Australian basketball legend Luc Longley said, “having events such as the U18 Australian Club Championships at HoopsFest, where the players can brush shoulders with people at the elite level, is a great opportunity”.

The Championships will also include 34 referees and 12 referee coaches.
With Round One of the Hungry Jack’s NBL Season, a Cygnett WNBL Tournament, Sneakerland, an interactive fan zone, music, NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony, award-winning DJ Hayden James, food and loads of other entertainment, the U18 Championships will take its rightful place on basketball’s biggest stage at HoopsFest.
