Basketball Australia are announcing an extended 25-player squad available for the U19 Emus in advance of the FIBA U19 Men’s Basketball World Cup.
Selected athletes will attend and participate in an initial training camp from 17 – 20 March at the Centre of Excellence, Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Head Coach Robbie McKinlay and his staff will use the four-day intensive as a foundation for the Emus’ campaign in Switzerland this June.
McKinlay will operate alongside Joel Khalu and Jacob Jackomas who have been selected as assistant coaches.
“This is the start of the journey towards the World Cup so it’s an exciting time for these young players. We are looking forward to having such a deep and versatile group in camp,” said McKinlay.
