As preparations for the 2025 VIRTUS World Basketball Championships heat up, the Australian Pearls have announced a 14-player squad.
These athletes will begin their campaign with a 3-day selection camp at the AIS in March with the World Championships to be hosted in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Coach Davidson, recently returned from the Australian Ivor Burge Championships in Ballarat, explained how difficult it was to reduce the squad.
“This year we are focused on building a very strong team culture. We have entered two 3x3 teams and are hoping for several training opportunities prior to the June World Championships,” said Davidson.
“Performances at the Australian Championship were terrific to watch, with some very close games, showcasing the skills of our players.”
