She Hoops & Opals legends are connecting with the City of Adelaide and South Australian Tourism Commission to deliver a Women in Sport Leadership Breakfast.

She Hoops are connecting with the City of Adelaide and South Australian Tourism Commission to deliver a Women in Sport Leadership Breakfast on Friday, 4 April.

This event presented by She Hoops, Basketball Australia and Basketball New Zealand will showcase women who have broken barriers and led with impact, both on and off the court.

The event features an esteemed panel of basketball greats and industry leaders including Seven Consulting Opals champions Lauren Jackson AO OLY, Tess Madgen and Nat Hurst.

With the inaugural AUS v NZL Trans-Tasman Throwdown starting in Adelaide on 7 May, this event offers a perfect opportunity for guests to touch base and gain unique insights.

Through powerful storytelling and leadership insights, this event will explore the parallels between high-performance sport and business success, celebrating the trailblazers who have shaped their industries and discussing what’s next for South Australia as a hub for elite sport and innovation.

Recently, She Hoops announced it will expand with the Federal Government contributing a three-year investment through the Play Our Way funding scheme.

About – AUS v NZL Trans-Tasman Throwdown

In February 2025, Basketball Australia and Basketball New Zealand announced the AUS v NZL Trans-Tasman Throwdown, a new era of rivalry. In the inaugural and revived rivalry series, the Boomers and Seven Consulting Opals will face off against the Tall Blacks and 2degrees Tall Ferns in host cities Adelaide (7 May), Sunshine Coast (9 May) and Hamilton (11 May).

This series is being delivered alongside event partner TEG Sport and official host cities with the South Australian Tourism Commission, Sunshine Coast City Council and Hamilton City Council – Te kaunihera o Kirikiriroa.
