Making his debut for the Boomers in Q4 of FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, young Toohey has proved to be a complete two-way player, having worked on his game at the NBA Global Academy in Canberra since 2020.
He continued to excel in the Australian Junior Championships, along with leading ACT to 4th place in the U20 Australian Championship in 2022.
He averaged 16.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, 6.3 assist and 4.0 steals during the championships while leading the assists of the tournament.
Graduating from Centre of Excellence (CoE), he has now caught the eyes of recruiters from NCAA Division I colleges like Duke, Florida, Gonzaga, Illinois, Michigan and more.
