Claiming two honours in 2017, the NBL’s Most Improved Player and making the NBL All-Second Team, coincided with Nathan’s Boomers debut as well.

He was initially named for the FIBA Asia Cup in Beirut in 2017 but had to miss the tournament due to injury. Nick finally got to pull on the gold singlet during the qualifiers and then was named in the 17-man squad for the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.

He started his NBL career with the Cairns Taipans in 2014 before moving to the Adelaide 36ers. He’s currently playing with the Brisbane Bullets.

That was after two successful years with the University of Wyoming Cowboys.

Between 2017-19 he played in Europe with PAOK club in Greece and SIG Strasbourg in France. He was also invited to play the 2017 NBA Summer League with the Utah Jazz.

Nick’s disappointment at losing the bronze medal play-off to France at the 2019 World Cup, was tempered with winning gold with the Boomers at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Nick makes his Olympic debut in Tokyo.
