Becoming part of the FIBA Asia Cup Champion squad in 2022, Froling has had exposure to elite level basketball from an early age.

He attended Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence for three years from 16 years of age, 2016-19.

Froling assisted the U17 Australian squad in winning a Gold medal at FIBA World Championships.

His elite performance at program’s state league teams competitions attracted the US college recruiter’s attention resulting in offers from top NCAA Division I teams like Wichita State, Arizona, Saint Mary’s, Maryland and Creighton Bluejays.

He started his college basketball in 2019 for Creighton Bluejays and played until mid-season there when he decided to start playing professional back in Australia.

That same year, he signed a contract with the NBL’s Illawarra Hawks.
