The son of two semi-professional basketballers, Josh Green was born in Sydney two months after the 2000 Olympics.
He captained NSW Metro to an under-12 state title and would continue to represent his state before moving to the US with his family as a teenager.
After settling in the US, the shooting guard attended the IMG Academy and later the University of Arizona. Selected by Dallas Mavericks with pick 18 in the 2020 draft, Green has notched up 166 NBA games across three seasons averaging 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 2022-23.
Green debuted for the Boomers in Tokyo where he was a member of Australia’s history-making bronze-medal Olympic campaign.
