Dyson Daniels is one of Australia's most exciting young talents with a meteoric rise from basketball-mad Bendigo, Victoria to the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA.
Like his father Ricky, Daniels represented his home-town club Bendigo Braves in the SEABL. He progressed through the NBA Global Academy in Canberra before signing with NBA G League Ignite where he averaged 12 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2 steals per game.
Selected with the eighth pick in the 2022 draft, Daniels made his NBA debut in season 2022-23 where he averaged 3.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists for the Pelicans.
As a 17-year-old, he suited up for Australia during the FIBA Asia Cup qualification series in 2021 and in the Boomers win over New Zealand stared with 23 points, 6 steals and 4 assists.
Daniels role and responsibility for the Boomers continues to grow with international experience at the FIBA World Cup in 2021 & 2023.
