Amy Atwell is one of the best three-point shooters in the country.
The Western Australian-born guard honed her craft at the University of Hawaii and after graduating was selected by the Los Angles Sparks with Pick 27 in the 2022 WNBA draft.
She suited up in five games, starting in one, before she was waived. Atwell would return home to Australia and represent Perth Lynx in the WNBL where she would make an immediate impact and become a league star.
The 25-year-old was a dominant force for the Bendigo Braves in their undefeated 2023 season which netted both NBL1 South and National Championship crowns.
Atwell made her Opals debut at the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup in Sydney where Australia won a bronze medal.
She returned to the WNBA in 2024 on a training camp contract with Phoenix Mercury but was waived on the eve of the season.
