Long, athletic and with the ability to shoot the three, Chloe Bibby brings a dynamic skillset to the Opals squad.
The 25-year-old, who hails from Warracknabeal in country Victoria, has produced a purple patch of form over the past 12 months.
Bibby played for Dandenong Rangers, alongside fellow Opals squad member Lauren Scherf, from 2013 to 2017 before heading to the US to embark on a college career with Mississippi and Maryland between 2017 and 2022. She got a taste of the WNBA when she spent 2022 training camp with the Minnesota Lynx before being waived.
Her return to the WNBL came in 2022-23 was with the Perth Lynx where she reunited with Scherf.
That form helped her earn a spot in the national squad, she debuted for the Opals in front of a home crowd at the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup in Sydney where Australia won a bronze medal.
Taking her game abroad, Bibby enjoyed immediate success for AZS AJP Gorzow Wielkopolski and was crowned Polish League MVP. She averaged 20.9 points and 5.9 rebounds in the Polish League and 22 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game in EuroCup.
Bibby is currently dominating for Ballarat in the NBL1 South competition.
