Isobel Borlase is one of Australian basketball’s biggest and brightest stars and will make her Opals debut in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
The 19-year-old is no stranger to representing her country at international level, most recently at the 2023 FIBA Under-19 World Cup in Spain.
An athletic guard who plays will composure and poise, Borlase suited up in her first WNBL game in 2021-22 but burst on to the scene in 2022-23 starting with a game-high 25 points against Southside in Round 1.
She would finish her first WNBL season by being awarded Sixth Woman of the Year and the Betty Watson Breakout Player of the Year award off the back of a terrific campaign with the Adelaide Lightning.
Borlase is eligible for the 2024 WNBA draft and according to ESPN’s Draft Predictor will be a top 10 selection.
Did You Know?
Borlase hails from a famous South Australian sporting family. Mother Jenny represented Australia in netball, father Darryl was a SANFL champion with the Port Magpies and older brother James is on the Adelaide Crows AFL list.
