From Albury, Jackson Gray, known as Jacko, has had a solid start to his wheelchair basketball career. His journey has been heavily influenced by his father, who not only trains and supports him but also drives him to and from his commitments. Jackson’s parents have played a vital role in his career, providing support and encouragement every step of the way.

Jackson’s key achievements include being a standout 3-point shooter for the Waratah League in 2023 and 2024, and winning gold medals in both years. He has also competed in junior nationals, the national league, and the Waratah League.

Playing Style:

Jackson describes his playing style as a "block role" player – he likes to read the play, waiting for a defensive rotation, in order to work to get into the key during games.

Did you know?

Outside of wheelchair basketball, Jackson has a passion for wheelchair tennis and hopes to compete in the Australian Open Championships one day.

He also describes himself as a "sit-down comedian" and enjoys riding his e-bike. He has a love for both able-bodied basketball.
