Basketball Australia has launched an online store for teachers to purchase official basketball equipment and resources for their Sporting Schools programs, linked with its successful Vicinity Centres Aussie Hoops introductory program.

Available here, the Vicinity Centres Aussie Hoops Store for Schools features high-quality equipment from program partners Spalding and Peak including modified basketballs and basketball rings suitable for Foundation through to Grade 6.

The range of accompanying resources includes exciting activity guides that develop fundamental movement skills in students and meet F-10 curriculum outcomes, as well as certificates that comprise information for parents on continuing basketball participation at a community club.

“Teachers will now have funded access to durable and age-appropriate basketball resources in a few easy steps on their phone, tablet or computer,” said Darren Anderson, Community Basketball Manager at Basketball Australia.

As a launch offer, schools receive 10% off the RRP of all orders over $100 through the remainder of July by using the promotional code LAUNCH10.

Over 56,000 school children have participated in Vicinity Centres Aussie Hoops and more than 5,000 modified basketballs have been delivered into schools through Sporting Schools funding since the $160 million Australian Government initiative commenced two years ago.
