Day seven of the Under 16 Junior Championships will get underway this morning, as spots in the medal matches are all locked in, after a busy day of semi-finals yesterday.
It’s a guaranteed Queensland win in the boy’s competition, as both North and South will go head-to-head for gold, while Western Australia Metro and Tasmania will face off for the bronze.
For the girls, it’s a South Australia and Queensland battle in both medal matches, as South Australia Country and Queensland South will line up for the ultimate top victory while SA Metro and Qld North will playoff for bronze.
Classification matches for final placings will also round out the day. The full fixture here.
The referees for the final playoff matches have also been selected. The boy’s gold medal match will be officiated by Jordan Laguda (QLD) and Connor Westwood (TAS). Bradley Malady from the host (NT) and Lachlan Coathupe (SA) will take on the bronze.
Zara Baldwin (NSW) and Hayden Neu (TAS) will officiate the girl’s gold medal match and Isabella Horskins (SA) and Caitlin Herd (QLD) will make their finals appearance at the playoff for bronze.
The Junior Championships will be celebrated tonight at the Closing Ceremony.
